Unlike outlook, The Google mail app for iPhone is not integrated with contacts and calendar, which makes it useless. In order for me to email someone from my contact list, I have to open Chrome, then open Google homepage, then open Google contacts, then find and remember the email address of the person I want to send the email to, then open Google Mail app, and finally type the email address in. If I just tap the email address in contacts, Google will open the web based gmail, but will so WITHOUT the email address in it. Customer service is either non responsive, or non existent, I have never received any response to my questions, or feedback.

Inbox continues to display *some* messages already read & filed under custom labels/folders, as well as one Sent message. Not helpful.

updated review: now four times in a row after declining to have Gmail ask me every time which browser to use, it STILL COMES UP. can you stop please? One thing I wish I had the option to turn off forever: please stop asking me if I want to open a link in Chrome or Safari. Please stop flipping the “ask my every time” switch back on after an update. I get you’re trying to push the Chrome app, but it’s really annoying that Gmail pretends to give users the option to turn off this suggestion. Can users just be free to enjoy two systems separately without being pestered to please try this other app, please?

This is one of the worst email applications I have ever seen. I’ve been using Outlook to manage all my email addresses in the same place - since I don’t have an outlook email address anymore, I decided to just delete the Outlook app and get Gmail, since I have two addresses with the service. I added my older email address, with my current one - holy smokes - this service DOES NOT recognize spam AT ALL! I don’t know how long it’s going to take me to clear all of these emails. The notification on my phone reads 600+ emails in my inbox - most of them are spam and junk mail. And there isn’t even an option to select and delete all of them, or send them all into a junk folder. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Now I know why I used Outlook and will once again.

Works just as smoothly as if I was on a android device, maybe smoother.

“Chrome or Safari”? It keeps me asking me every single time. It ignores my choice on the switch on/off button to “ask me which app to use every time”

Works well for my exchange and Gmail account but unfortunately my Hotmail account does not seem to be compatible....

Always iOS, never Chrome.

If you don’t care to use “Conversation Mode” to manage your messages, this app does not give you a choice. The GMail web based app does provide users this choice. But the iPhone app is incapable of the same thing. Boo. Hiss to app developers.

Dear Gmail team, if you are going to put in a prompt to ask me if I want to open links in Safari or Chrome, please believe me the first time when I select “Stop asking me this every time”. What is the point of that slider if it continually resets and tries to shove Chrome in my face? Honestly disinclined to ever download the Chrome iOS app because this ticks me off so much.

PLEASE FIX The important email indicators dont show up and when you select multiple emails they dont show which ones are selected on the right anymore. But what really irritates me is they automatically download emails so you can look at them without internet, taking up space on my device. There REALLY needs to be a setting for that so I can turn it off!

It’s a great emailing app (I actually switched to it because of ad) the problem is when I went to update my profile picture it would fail to load !!!Please Fix!!!

Still won’t fix the “problem” when opening a link in safari where you deselect ask me every time which app to use, yet it still asks you every time which app to use. I’m still not downloading Chrome.

Easier than web app. Works great

Trying to attach a picture to an email and want to view the full camera roll. It is only showing me the “Memories” view of the camera roll which is incredibly difficult to find what I’m looking for.

It always asks which browser to open no matter how many times I tell it not to.. Seems like it should be able to do a simple task.
