Update: I figured it out. I prefer this email so than the native iPhone app. It is easier to delete emails and I like the font for the message list better.

When you’re opening a link the app gives you the option to open with safari or chrome. There’s a toggle to select if you want to be asked every time. In the past month or so this toggle stopped working. It’s super annoying having to select a browser every single time.

This app has developed an annoying bug, and I can’t figure out how to address it. When I click on a link in an email, I am asked, every single time, which browser I want to use. There is a toggle marked, “Ask me every time,” that used to work but no longer functions. I toggle it off every time, but it’s back on the next time.

I love GMail but now attaching things from the app is a nightmare. Instead of just being able to go into my Camera roll and picking my attachments I have to 1) scroll backwards through my entire roll or 2) go through Moments to find what I want which either way is a hassle. I found a work around thankfully but still. It feels like you’re trying to force people towards using their Drive more which I understand business-wise but as a customer it’s a little off-putting.

Google know everything but why can’t it remember when I open a link in gmail to ask chrome or safari? Click the check mark saying remember my choice not happening. Every email even if twice it’s there. What’s the plan to annoy me into using chrome?

Despite telling the app not to every time, it still asks me if I want to open the link with chrome or safari. Why even have that “do not show again” slider if it doesn’t do anything?

I went to log in, and was prompted to give them my phone number. Why does google need to have my phone number in order for me to access my email account? I spent about 15 minutes looking through the account settings and could not find any way to deactivate this. My password is strong enough, I shouldnt need to give you my phone number to access an email account. Thanks for nothing

Please provide block this email address for all incoming emails. Report spam is not working as expected. Please add block feature in gmail app for apple devices.

Stop asking me to download chrome, every time I open a link gmail asks me if I want to open it in chrome or safari and I used to be able to flip the switch and it would stop asking, now it does it every single time! So irritating, I like gmail but not chrome but if this stupid download chrome annoyance doesn’t stop I’m going to go back to the built in mail app.

Every time I update this app, you turn back on the most annoying reminder ever. I don’t want to use Chrome for iOS.

This is a great app on the iPhone and iPad, but I would love to get notifications on my Apple Watch. I’m not a fan of the default mail app. I would definitely give 5 stars if/when that happens.
