I really like this Ap except for one overriding issue - no way to disable conversation view. This option is available on other platforms like pc but not on the IOS ap - why?

The iPhone mail app is better in my opinion. The gmail app sorts your emails into different categories which would be fine if I had just one gmail account. I’m overlooking a lot of emails between my 3 accounts. Also, no one wants to deal with irrelevant ads every time they check their email.

The app has improved but it’s still a big hole for me that you cannot send email to a Gmail group.

Pros: this is the only app that loads emails I receive to my Gmail inbox immediately. I have to manually refresh my Apple mail app to receive emails to my Gmail inbox. Strange, because I don’t have to do this with any other email provider. Cons: I feel that it is not laid out as well as my Apple mail app, and it’s too easy to accidentally archive emails.

This app is easy to us and very clean to look at. With the new update however, the amount of information you get in the banner is too much. All we need to see is the sender and the subject line. There is no need for sections of the email to be in the banner. Please fix this!

Gmail services both my business and personal accounts. Having access to both accounts on one app makes it easy for me communicate.

I used to get only first line of the new email +subject as a notification, but with recent update it shows couple of lines. I liked the previous version as it preserved the privacy better. At least provide the option to choose how many lines to show in the preview!

This is a good app, that I use a lot, and I really like this app.

Why in the world does it seem like with the latest l to the YouTube and gmail app that way too much information is revealed about a particular email or YouTube video upload simply with the notifications on a locked iPhone for example? This is very annoying and is a bit of a security risk. Why do simple notifications now reveal like half the content of an email, instead of just the subject for example as it was before? And same with the YouTube app. I highly doubt that I’m doing anything wrong and I think it’s indeed something new that somebody might have thought would be useful.... well it’s not, and it’s actually quite annoyingthat notifications now reveal so much content and is quite dangerous Please fix ASAP

It’s worth getting just for the spam filter. I get notified for just primary messages, but not less important categories. Archive useful messages in folders you name. Easy to use.

Best app email app out there. Works seamlessly with all other google apps. Awesome.

I want to add a great signature to my Gmail accounts but this app fails to provide that option. Total bummer. Why bother with the app. My iphone already has mail. This app provides no features of value. I can either do everything on my computer (slowly/annoyingly) or in my phones standard mail app. There is no reason to use this app. It provides no convenience or expedited services. It’s just another annoying “ding” and banner notification.

I switched to Gmail five years ago, and it was the best thing I could have done. It keeps me organized and I get what I want and easily delete what I dont.

I have used gmail for a long time and only recently there is a problem with replies. I do not get a text box any more and the curser goes to weird places. Please fix this. I am waiting gmail, I hate replying with a new message. I did this review over a year ago. I still hate replying to a message from my iPad, it looks really weird because you can put your text anywhere

Excellent way of sharing info and communicating !!! I’m still learning how to organize the way mail comes in and how it’s stored, I like that there are more than one way to accomplish tasks . Also this system has an excellent search feature.

I can seem to find the Mark As Unread option for emails opened by mistake.

After the last update, Notifications are much bigger and annoying with sender and subject line in bold letters and more text from email message. Please bring back the old notifications with less email body.

You can’t mass delete emails on a mobile device. Low amount of data storage. You won’t receive emails to any inboxes. This is just a really useless email. You only need gmail if you are using it to connect to services that require you to have a gmail account. I deleted my account because I wasn’t able to use it. Too many issues!!!!
