Love it! It keeps me very organized with all my business emails.

Gmail for iPhone is the only version of Gmail that dishonors you setting to not automatically load remote images. This acts as a read receipt for certain emails even if you don’t want to send read receipts. I used to really love Gmail and always gave it 5-star reviews. But this violation of privacy that the user cannot fix is intolerable. Even the Android version of Gmail doesn’t have this flaw. I don’t have any idea why Google decided to do that with their iPhone app.

I love it, but ....HOW DO YOU BLOCK WN EMAIL ADDRESS ON THIS APP???! PLEASE HELP ...

When a company is doing everything they can to give you the best app you gotta give them credit. So thats my 2 cents. Cant wait to see what else Google comes up with. Thanks!

The option to open in Safari shouldnt use Safari View Controller but should open Safari. Its impossible to browse the link and go back to check the mail without closing the browser when you force SFVC. Opening Safari from SFVC is annoying since it doesnt automatically close the SFVC so when you go back you need yet another tap to see the email again.

Gmail is my family and friends account. I have another I use for other types of email. I like the ease of Gmail and will continue to use it as my “safe” account. Google wins, again.

Ever since version 4.2.41151, it is impossible to block external images from being loaded. This is a major privacy issue as many commercial emails contain tracking images with unique identifiers that only by opening the email will notify them of email being read. The implication is that privacy is severely affected and additionally, more spam is likely to be received. In newer version of Gmail app, a setting called “Show sender images” was introduced but it absolutely does not avoid to load the images. Google says that the images are loaded from Google servers, not from the third party. I’m sorry but when an image has a unique identifier it doesn’t matter if Google “pre-loads” the image and Google serves the image. The unique identifier for that image will indicate that I loaded the image, and tracking will be performed by the third party. I request to to have the same feature we have on the web version of Gmail to not load external images. And while we I’m at it, a setting to use Safari as my browser when I click on a link in an email and not the built-in browser which I very much dislike.

I can’t stand that some emails don’t show up as a number on the app button (whatever it decides are “promotions”) and I can’t find a way to undo this. Going back to the native mail app.

After the last update every notification I get from Gmail shows up as big chunks of text. It’s trying to fit the whole email into the notification.

you should fix the app.. it kicked me out twice while i was writing emails..

It is pretty cool how this app works. I touch it and I see emails. Sometimes it advertises over-40 dating apps. I’m not that into over-40s. In fact, I might leave my wife before she turns 40. Don’t tell her. Solid email app.

It would be nice if it allowed distribution lists. I use 4 accounts it would be nice for all the users of the account to use the lists so we stop missing people. Thanks

I much rather use this app than apple’s mail app (always have) but I can’t believe attaching a file from your phone is still so complicated. Not only the app does not access Files (the app that contains your iCloud and Google drive) but if you try to access Drive, it only shows a very limited version of it (with only certain files). This should be fix soon. Other than that. Still better than any other

Been using this app for years and I have no complaints. The app lets me balance all three of my email accounts at once and works very well.

Once the iOS is updated to 11, from then onwards the gmail takes at least 1 hour to update even if all the emails were read but the app still shows on the top that few emails are left unread. Resolve this issue..

1 star until Gmailify supports iCloud accounts

Five stars from me. Enough said.

Something is going on with the keyboard in this app. Randomly capitalizing letters, randomly choosing words for me as I’m typing. It’s not an iPhone keyboard issues. I am only having these problems in the gmail app. It has made typing emails almost unbearable.
