Gmail - Email by Google App Reviews

I would have issues opening one of my email accounts on my phone using the gmail app, and now its all working smoothly. The app is easy to use, and it works in a food sync with my workflow overall. I can switch email accounts with two quick taps and move forward with each accounts tasks without any hindrance to time spent getting these practical things done. Simple, efficient, and an overall elegant designed app. Thanks Google, well done revision/update.

A lot faster than the stock mail app

This is the best email app Ive used. Very fast and reliable. The search and labels work great!

Google apps are known for their speed. This app is slow when compared with other mail client apps.

I shouldnt have to go through several different apps just to sing into one that has nothing to do with the others.

This is SO much better than the iPhone mail config. Clearer & more attractive display. Fixed some of the problems Id been having with my Gmail not sending from my phone. I wish I had installed this a LONG time ago! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Best reliable gmail experience. No frills or add ons like schedule for later or send to a new app, but if you like the webmail version youll feel right at home

Great app but needs louder notification sounds and or option for different sounds.

Update May 10, 2017. Youre almost there! Really make this app do what it should and update to include "Inbox" when changing labels. So much easier to file when you can uncheck Inbox, rather than using "move" and having to scroll through the labels. Come on guys. Youre Google. Not Yahoo! Get it together! Not sure why expect an actual response. Youre all a bunch of robots anyway. ? Original review... Spellcheck and auto-punctuation still isnt working correctly. ? Previously saved labels within a thread are no remembered. ? Please continue to update, still got a long way to go!

New version doesnt fix login issues. Fix it. And whats up with all the fake 5 star reviews? I enter correct username and get some error about cookies. Enabled cookies in Chrome and Safari with same results. Can only login with browser. App is completely useless. Global login to all Google apps should NOT be required. Fix it. Creating a release just to push bad reviews away is stupid. I thought Google had intelligent people working for them. Dedicate resources to fix the issues. This app is regressing in functionality daily.

Works seamlessly, no complaints at all!

In order to send group emails (without having to remember/type every email in) I have to be on my computer on a web browser (to be able to have it sync with the contacts group I created with all the emails in it). Gmail app is OK, but I still need a web browser to do what I use it for frequently. Would love an app that works with my gmail and my google contacts/groups to make it much easier, since I use my gmail to manage multiple things at once.

Your last update says that it clears Notification opening app, still shows Notification until you open the email. Fail

Latest release mentions app will clear notifications upon opening the App, however not only is this not happening, but the notification is not going away even after reading the emails. Less than intuitive functionality make this a 2 star App in my opinion.

I used to LOVE the gmail app, but now their recent update "Notifications are automatically cleared when you open the Gmail app." I absolutely HATE this update. I understand some users may prefer it this way, but I am sure many agree with me. Google, PLEASE adjust the new update so that the user can turn the feature off or on.
