No more push for an account!?

Everything worked great until the latest iOS update or gmail update... unsure... but since then I don’t receive push email from my ‘legacy free gaps’ account. But everything is fine with the ‘gmail.com’ account. Tried many things... even reinstalled the phone completely.. still same issue.
