Why no colors and formatting

Hi
I like the app, but it is frustrating that we cannot use colors or much formatting on the iPad. I do most of my email responses with iPad. I comment in the email sent to me and would like to change the color for ease of the person seeing my comments. Different fonts would be great also. The Desktop app has it, can you add it to iPad, Please?
Other formatting would be nice too. Other iPad apps allow this. Thanks. I would give it 5 stars if I had that capability.
